The Tenby Lugger

Back to Projects

One of the most traditional fishing craft in Pembrokeshire was the Tenby Lugger, unfortunately only one of them is still in existence, sadly incomplete, and it is in the National Museum of Wales.

It is the goal of the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society to either reconstruct this craft or to build a replica of it, for Pembrokeshire's maritime heritage

So to ensure craft such as this are available for our childrens posterity to appreciate and understand the lives of those who fished parts of our coastline.
